Breckenridge Date Night Guide

Date Night Ideas in Breckenridge

These romantic, adventurous Breckenridge date ideas are priceless. With its storybook Victorian downtown and wide-reaching peak-sculpted skyline, Breckenridge is tee’d up for unforgettable date nights, all year long. Here’s how to plan a Breckenridge date night that will truly wow your partner and create memories that will last a lifetime.

EAT

Soak in world-class views on a patio and make unforgettable memories.

Breckenridge is speckled with upscale dining, budget-friendly restaurants and everything in between. For a morning date, pick up donut holes and sausage rolls from Daylight Donuts or bagels and coffee at Clint’s Bakery to enjoy on a park bench next to the river. Snuggle up on the fireside sofa at The Crown and share a gooey frosted cinnamon roll or read the paper together over homemade scones at Amazing Grace. A true hidden treasure serving some of the most affordable coffee in town, Danielle’s Delights food cart has built a loyal fanbase with its sweet and savory waffles. If you’ve got some time, sit down for a homestyle meal at Columbine Cafe or try the Horseshoe’s thick-cut Crack Bacon.

Plan a postcard-perfect picnic on a local hiking trail or overlook (Sapphire Point and Boreas Pass are favorites) with charcuterie from The Cheese Shop and a fresh-baked boule from La Francaise French Bakery. Hit one of Breckenridge’s food carts or walk-up stands for budget options that include gyros from Above the Blue; tacos, burritos and tortas from Oaxacan Bites; and shareable burritos and birria from Mi Roca Taco Truck. If soaking up some sunshine is on the schedule, opt for one of Breckenridge’s best après patios.

Turn happy hour into early dinner with Breckenridge restaurant deals on food, wine and cocktails. Tip: Some Breckenridge happy hours begin as early as 2 or 3 p.m. so plan a prompt arrival for the best seats. Check out local favorites like Northside Pizza for two-for-one appetizers, Hearthstone for small plates and wine by the glass (stay for the naturally raised beef & game and sustainably caught seafood), Rita’s for underground tacos and tequilas, and Windy City for happy hour pizza and pints.

To get your taste buds tingling, find the best regionally sourced, seasonally focused and thoughtfully chef-driven menus with these foodie favorites or swoon your partner with the most romantic restaurants in Breckenridge.

DRINK

Enjoy drinks in true Breckenridge fashion- at the oldest bar west of the Mississippi.

If sampling all the flavors is your jam, visit the pup-friendly Broken Compass for a chocolate coffee stout and some pinball or the Breckenridge Brewery for the latest seasonal taps and a cheesy plate of nachos. Take a tour at the Breckenridge Distillery and then settle in for a multi-course culinary treat in the stylish restaurant space. Swirl award-winning wines at the Continental Divide tasting room and sign up for a custom wine blending experience.

If you’re looking for something casual, sip canned beers and house-infused cocktails at The Motherloaded, a campy tavern where you’ll often find free live music, karaoke or trivia. After a big day, warm up (or cool off) with Japanese brews and sake at The Blue Fish or wine on tap at Carboy Winery. For unique creations, enjoy 2-for-1 martinis at Blue River Bistro (stay for dinner and enjoy free live music Mondays and Tuesdays)!
